How I wish this night would never end,
And tomorrow never be.
How I wish I’d never have to see,
The hideous creature that is me.
I wish the trees would gobble up,
The shadows that roam the streets.
And morning dew-drops never see,
The daylight so pretty.
How I wish I could hide behind,
The rustling leaves so hallow.
Rest assured I can now trust,
That nobody has followed.
So sacred and pure and so much more,
My resting place, my shrine.
How I wish it stays that way,
Something that’s only mine.
Silhouettes lurking here and there,
In and out of sleepy snippets.
But they don’t scare, they never do,
Unlike those human puppets.

Brilliant! :)
